Dear Friends and Family,

Thank you so much for your love and support. Kendal and I are writing to tell you about our mission trip to India last year and the opportunity for us to return this year. We were amazed by God’s Providence as He led us to the trip and how He worked in everything to glorify Himself and to bless His people.

We went to work with Southeast Christian Church’s ministry partner Harvest Ministries. Its founder first set out to be an evangelist, but soon into his ministry, he realized that he needed to be planting churches as well as making converts, so that’s what he did. After a few hundred churches were planted, he started a school for children from the villages to come deepen their faith and get an education that would allow them to find jobs in cities throughout India so they could go and be a light for Jesus throughout all sectors of the Indian population.

Three years ago, the IT Director at Southeast went on a trip to work with this same ministry. While there, he saw that a computer lab would be a tremendous blessing for these students, providing them an opportunity to learn skills that are crucial to their success. Before our trip last year, Southeast decided to donate the computers and equipment needed to set up a computer lab and wireless network at the school.

The IT Director and one of the other members of the team went out a week before the rest of our group to do this setup. When we arrived though, we learned that due to several obstacles and logistical difficulties, they were not able to make much progress on these projects. But God always knows what he is doing! Because of Stephen’s background in IT, the Director put us in charge of setting up the computer lab while he tackled the wireless network, and by God’s grace we were able to finish both projects. As a further testament of God’s Providence, within a few weeks of returning from our trip Stephen was hired on with Southeast’s IT Ministry.

We praise God for all these things, and that is why we are excited to share with you that we have been accepted to go back to India this coming October to work with Harvest Ministries again.
We would like to ask that you join with us in two ways:

  • Most importantly with prayer: We need your prayers as we mentally, physically, and spiritually prepare for what God has in store for us in India.
  • Financially: To be able to take part in this trip, we need to raise a total of $5,600 — the sum of which is due by Wednesday, September 22. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Gifts are tax deductible and can be made out and mailed to “Southeast Christian Church.”

Thank you for considering supporting us through your prayers and/or giving. This trip would be impossible without the generosity of so many. We are excited for this new opportunity to serve, and we are looking forward to sharing it with you when we return.

With love and thanks,

Kendal and Stephen Lee
